Project Author: The National Tourism Administration of Georgia, in collaboration with a consulting group, is the author of the project. They developed the technical specifications and initial design, which are integral to the project. All project files/codes are owned by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia.
Project Objective: The aim is to create a new website, places.georgia.travel, to provide tourists with easy access to information about tourist facilities in Georgia. The site will improve search engine visibility and connectivity to tourist sites, offering evaluations and news. It also aims to establish a unified database for the tourism administration, simplifying the registration and updating of tourist facility information, and providing comprehensive statistical data about site visitors and tourist facilities.
Website Description: The website serves as a central platform for tourist facilities, overseen by the National Tourism Board of Georgia. It simplifies the search for tourist sites and provides reliable information for planning visits. Features include integration with Google Map, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and Google Business for easier selection and evaluation of sites. The site is fully responsive on all devices and browsers and is accessible for people with disabilities. It allows for updates and additions from the admin control side. The website uses its API to present information about categories, subcategories, and types of objects, and is highly optimized for search engines to increase visitor traffic.
Challenge: The client required a cutting-edge, bilingual website that would function seamlessly across various platforms and devices. The site needed to be highly secure, scalable, and capable of integrating with specific technologies and hosting platforms.
Our Solution:
Modern Technologies: Utilizing Angular, Vue.js, and ReactJS for the front-end, coupled with robust back-end solutions like Laravel, .NET 5/6, and NodeJS, we developed a website that was both modern and efficient.
Database Management: We employed PostgreSQL and MySQL for database management, ensuring robust data handling and retrieval.
Hosting and Configuration: As per the client's provision, we successfully configured and managed the hosting environment, demonstrating proficiency with platforms such as Amazon, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, and Microsoft Azure.
Cross-Platform Compatibility: Our team ensured the website was fully responsive and compatible with the latest versions of all major browsers, catering to a diverse user base.
Content Delivery Network Integration: We integrated CDN servers for hosting static resources, significantly improving load times and overall site performance.
Cache-Control Optimization: Following best practices, we implemented Cache-Control HTTP headers, optimizing the caching strategy in line with Google PageSpeed Insights.
Comprehensive Documentation: We provided detailed documentation of the website development process using GitBook and managed API documentation effectively using tools like Moralis and Swagger.
Security Measures: The website was equipped with robust security measures, including DDoS and Flood attack protection, through CDN server access.
User-Friendly Admin Panel: The admin panel was designed to be intuitive, requiring no special technological skills for content management.
Test-Driven Development (TDD): We adhered to the TDD methodology throughout the development process, ensuring a reliable and bug-free product.
